Home Based Vagina Burning Remedies

You won't need the above products if there you don't have problems of vaginal dryness or looseness.

The following home based vagina burning remedies is good enough.

Sitz Bath

A sitz bath is most suitable for vaginal burning caused by BV (bacterial vaginosis) and chemical irritants found in douches. These two conditions disrupt the acidic level in the vagina making it more alkaline.

To set up a sitz bath, you need to choose a tub comfortable for you to sit in. Add enough water so that your rectal and genital region are well submerged.

Add half a cup of apple cider vinegar to the water and soak for 20 minutes.  This will neutralize the alkalinity. Your vaginal pH will go back to its optimum level of pH 4.5 to 5. Do this daily until there is no more burning.

Cool Bath

A cool bath is an effective remedy for non-infectious viginitis. Non-infectious vaginitis is vagina irritation due to scented soaps, fragrant feminine wash and douches. Other possible causes are allergic reactions to chlorine in swimming pools and semen.

It is easy to make a cool bath. Add half a cup or more (depends on how much water you are using) of either baking soda or Epsom salt to a long bath. Relax and soak in the bath for 20 minutes. Then, flush the vagina with water to further remove remaining irritants. Repeat daily until the burning is gone.

Ice Packs

For this home remedy you need to put some ice cubes in a small Ziploc bag and dab it on the vulva for 10 to 15 minutes. It works well for burning caused by chemical irritants.

Tea Tree Oil (Melaleuca Oil)

Tea tree oil has strong anti bacterial properties. It is most suitable for burning caused by BV, yeast infection and trichomoniasis.

You can use it as an external rinse. Add 3 to 4 drops of tea tree oil to a cup of water. Soak some cotton pads in the solution and wipe the vulva with them.

Or you use it as  suppository. Add 3 drops of tea tree oil and 2 teaspoons of vitamin E oil to a cup of water. Saturate a clean tampon in this mixture and insert into the vagina for 15-20 minutes. Remove and flush the vulva with water.

Try any of the above remedies which is most suitable to your condition for a week. If there is still no relief, see a doctor immediately.
